About Me
Hi, I'm Philip Delaney.
Specialist Men’s Health Physiotherapist & Co-Author of the National POGP Men's Health Guidelines
When dealing with complex, intimate issues like male pelvic pain, Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS), or post-prostate surgery recovery, you need more than generic advice. You need a specialist who understands the precise mechanical and neurological drivers of men's health.
As a dedicated Men's Health Physiotherapist, my mission is to provide the absolute highest standard of evidence-based care to men across Coventry, Warwickshire, and the West Midlands.
I am proud to be part of the select clinical working group appointed to co-author the new National POGP 'Pelvic Floor Advice for Men' Guidelines. By working alongside other leading international experts to modernise the UK's clinical standards, I ensure that my patients are always receiving the most advanced, up-to-date rehabilitation pathways available.
My Clinical Approach: Beyond the Machines Many clinics rely on basic exercises or passive machines to treat pelvic dysfunction. My approach is entirely different. I specialize in advanced, hands-on manual therapy and precise clinical reasoning to find the true root cause of your pain.
My clinical philosophy is heavily rooted in functional movement and deep tissue release. I am proud to be mentored by, and collaborate with, Bill Taylor (Edinburgh)—widely considered one of the leading figures in global pelvic health. This ensures my patients receive the gold standard of hands-on, neuromuscular treatment, whether they are recovering from prostate cancer or are weightlifters struggling with a hypertonic pelvic floor.
A Collaborative, National Network In addition to my independent private practice here at Delaney Physiotherapy, I also operate as a Visiting Specialist Consultant at Harborne Physiotherapy in Birmingham. Working alongside international expert Gerard Greene, I help manage and treat highly complex male pelvic pain cases. I bring this exact multidisciplinary, elite-level approach directly to every patient I see in my Coventry clinic.
Whether you are an athlete desperate to get back to the gym without groin pain, or a man looking to regain his continence and confidence after surgery, you do not have to accept your symptoms as a permanent new normal.
